Thank you so much! Everything was yummy! The lemon Charlotte served from the freezer was just delicious. Al is enjoying the leftovers of that- and I get the rest of the chocolate torte. This is why our marriage works! The quiche was perfect. Everyone loved everything and I got a lovely memory hum of Tuscan afternoons from dipping Cantuccini into Vin Santo. There is nothing more evocative to memory than scent. We are so fortunate to have you just down the street. I tell everyone that I never try to produce myself anything that I can get from your hands. I believe that I have never made baked goods since you arrived in Fall River. Why would I?!

Everyone LOVED the cake! First of all everyone was blown away by the appearance. Gasps were followed by ‘Wow’ and ‘ That is fantastic ‘ and then when we tasted it. Everyone was raving about how light and delicious it was. I could not choose which was my favorite between the lemon and elderflower or the coffee. Both were just strong enough in flavor without being overpowering. As always you have made a cake that was outstanding. I delivered the chocolate raspberry torte to my father-in-law last week-end. He was delighted as evidenced by his response I've included here. I will bring him a chocolate cupcake next, the one I had was incredible and I am sure Stephen would agree. "After careful consideration of the best way to eat the cake you gave me I decided on a two day method. I did not want the taste of the cake contaminated by any other food so on day one at lunchtime my entire meal was half the cake. This allowed the taste to linger on. With great self-control I waited a second day to eat the other half of the cake. It was delicious. What a treat!"
